Camino de Santiago – We had the privilege of meeting an exceptional young lady called Tanya Raab yesterday, while looking for a pair of walking boots in the North Face, Regent Street in central London, while getting ready to go back to Rishikesh, for the winter. She is a photographer, rock climber and trail marathon runner originally from Transylvania, Romania living in London for the past 4 years. Her passion for the outdoors and nature has seen her participate in endurance events as far-flung as Uganda and she told us she has grown tired of the urban lifestyle and is moving to Hawaii to work on a farm after competing in a Scottish marathon in a few weeks.
This short video shows a snapshot of this beautiful 24 year olds journey of discovery on the Camino de Santiago in northwestern Spain, also known in English as the Way of Saint James. A trip of nearly 500 miles from St. Jean-Pied-du-Port near Biarritz in France to Santiago, this pilgrimage route has been walked since the middle ages.
